QUALIFYING FEES
For 2016 Primary & General Elections
 
The governing authority of each County shall fix and publish the qualifying fees for the upcoming General Primary and General Election for County Offices. O.C.G.A. Section 21-2-131(a)(1), provides as follows:

“The governing authority, not later than February 1, shall fix and publish qualifying fees for each county office to be filled in the upcoming General Election. Such fee shall be 3% of the annual salary if a salaried office. If not a salaried office, a reasonable fee shall be set by the governing authority not to exceed 3% of the income derived from such office by the person holding the office for the preceding year.”

Fees were set by the Turner County Board of Commissioners January 5, 2016 for the following offices are to be filled this year:

Qualifying for the offices listed above will begin at 9:00 a.m. on March 7, 2016 and will end at noon on March 11, 2016. The General Primary will be held on May 24, 2016 and the General Election will be held on November 8, 2016. Fees are due at qualifying. For Democrat & Republican qualifying location please call Elections Office. Non Partisan qualifying will be at the Turner County Elections Office, 1807 U.S. Highway 41 South, Sycamore, Georgia 31790.
